10:30 am – 5:00 pm

Hosted by the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows – Belleville, Illinois

These are turbulent times, full of uncertainty and fear. In this virtual retreat, learn to use our Christian foundation of paschal mystery to uncover communal and personal wounds and transform them into sacred experiences. Learn to love yourself and love others by cultivating a deeper spiritual life through heart-centered awareness. Learn to shift your attention inward and listen, cultivating your strength stemming from love rather than ego. Reflect on the cross of your own reality, learn the essential nature of surrender, and experience the transformative power of God’s unconditional love.

Geri Boyer is a seasoned retreat director, serving on the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate Kings House Retreat and Renewal Center’s preaching team for 18 years. She is a Chopra Center certified meditation instructor, and shares her love for inner solitude and reflection by leading meditation retreats and monthly meditation gatherings in the Greater St. Louis region. She has a Master’s of Pastoral Studies degree from Loyola University in New Orleans, and completed the diaconal training program in the Diocese of Belleville with her husband Doug in 1997. When she’s not preaching retreats, meditating or working at her local parish, she manages a civil engineering and contracting company she founded in Belleville, IL. She is a professional engineer, and specializes in highway and bridge design and construction. Geri has been married to Deacon Doug Boyer, Chancellor of the Diocese of Belleville, for 39 years. She and Doug have two grown children and three beautiful grandsons.

The Victorious Missionaries provide spiritual support for people with disabilities or chronic illnesses and those who want to share their journey. We warmly invite you to take this opportunity to reflect on your own spiritual life in these trying times.
