The Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate and the Shrine staff welcome you as a friend, guest and pilgrim to the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, one of the largest outdoor shrines in North America. Take time for yourself and enjoy the 200 acres of natural beauty whether you walk or drive through the Shrine grounds. Each year, over one million people visit the Shrine.
Light a Candle.
The Missionary Oblates have been lighting Votive Candles for years.
In fact, we are currently celebrating 20 years of lighting Votive Candles at the Millennium Spire.
The Millennium Spire is the centerpiece of the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows –
one of the largest and most popular Marian shrines in the United States.
We invite you to consider a trip to the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville, Illinois (just outside St. Louis, Missouri) when planning your next faith-based journey. It’s the perfect place to rest and renew your spirit.
With over 200 beautifully landscaped acres, Our Lady of the Snows is the largest outdoor Marian shrine in the United States. During your visit, join us in the celebration of Mass-held two times daily at our church of Our Lady of the Snows. There are numerous devotional sites for prayer and reflection, including a replica of the Lourdes Grotto in France. We also have a gift shop, guesthouse and restaurant on the grounds.
